Church Health Ministries
Church Health Ministries is a faith-based organization serving the Greater Kansas City area that focuses on health initiatives through local churches. CHM targets medical issues such as insurance prices, coverage, cost, and medical maltreatment; and acts as a liaison and support for people in this ministry who deal with such issues.
Dismas House
Over the last 35 years, Dismas House has accumulated a great deal of knowledge and expertise with leading men and women through the transition process from a life of lawlessness, substance abuse and other destructive behaviors to one of genuine freedom, accountability and responsibility. From state contracts in the early years to more than 25 years of contracting with the United States Department of Justice, Dismas House has earned a reputation for compassionate and effective clinical care. Consistently, Dismas House achieves outcomes exceeding national benchmarks.
Mother’s Refuge
Our mission is to shelter and educate homeless, pregnant and parenting young women by providing comprehensive services that empower them to make successful life decisions for themselves and their babies. Mother's Refuge, a program for homeless pregnant teens and new mothers and their infants, includes a residential care facility as well as an aftercare program.
PAL (Police Athletic League)
The mission of the Police Athletic League of Kansas City, Inc. (PAL) is to facilitate positive interaction and relationships between police officers and youth to develop successful community members. We will accomplish this by: offering police officer led programs that develop youth confidence, instill trust, respect, and build character in a structured safe environment; offering positive daily contact with police officers; and recruiting and retaining youth members and community volunteers. PAL’s avenue for youth involvement revolves around youth sports programs. PAL maintains youth basketball, football, baseball, and soccer leagues and also has a boxing program
POSSE (Peers Organized for Student Success and Excellence)
POSSE infiltrates Kansas City High Schools and addresses gang related issues. Their staff targets individuals involved in gangs or those who are susceptible to becoming part of, or victim to, gang activity. POSSE collaborates with local law enforcement to identify gang issues and areas and uses that information to support and educate local youth.
The organization is interested in speaking with youth in schools and other events; presentations/trainings on youth and gangs violence and strategies that can be implemented to reduce or prevent. Persons of interest are teachers, law enforcement groups, neighborhood and community organizations as well as any youth service agencies.
Save-A-Child
The mission of Save A Child, Inc. is to work with the jurisdictions of the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan Area to make our communities a safer place for all children to live and play without fear, through education and identification.
SAVE A CHILD is a not for profit organization made up of area law enforcement, businessmen and dedicated volunteers. Our goals are to promote child safety through seminars, educate parents and families on child safety issues and concerns. We provide parents with a safety card which includes the child’s fingerprints and photograph. On the back this card provides safety information. The free seminars we provide are to educate parents and families, as well as, arming parents with valuable information to protect children.
Vineyard Neighborhood Association
Vineyard Neighborhood Association is a community of hard working, proud neighborhoods who care about each other. We take pride in our community, and we strive to build relationships and partnerships through improved communication with police, schools, youth, and other agencies.
Catholic Charities of Kansas City/St. Joseph
Catholic Charities of Kansas City/St. Joseph responds to the gospel mandate by caring for the vulnerable, honoring the life and dignity of all persons, and engaging the community in providing compassionate social services and advocacy.

RDI is a professional services organization that carries out community research, evaluation and consultation services. We help our clients, who are primarily non-profit service agencies, make critical decisions to maximize the effectiveness of their programs. RDI’s vision is to be recognized by local and national stakeholders for its expertise in evaluation, research, and community service.
